On June 10th, 2023, the Veteran Social Club hosted its inaugural golf tournament at Angel Park Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. The non-profit used the tournament to benefit the University of Nevada Las Vegas Rebel Vets Organization.

The UNLV Rebel Vets organization aims to provide assistance to military veterans on their route to higher education and professional goals. The organization works to build camaraderie between military veteran students and the Las Vegas community. The golf tournament was sponsored by The Barricade Company, Mears Corporation, Veterans Benefit Guide, and Kline Veterans Fund.

TJ Henderson, the Veteran Social Club president and founder, was enthusiastic about the tournament turnout.

“I’m extremely happy that we had enough community support to nearly fill our inaugural tournament,” He said. “The support from our sponsors and their willingness to support our next tournament was very encouraging to all the veterans that attended. I can’t wait to do this again in October.”
